Evan Almighty Again

The two of us cooked twenty hotdogs and ten packets of char mee. Not forgetting the bottle of red wine. Just like before. Now, we are just watching Bruce Almighty while trying to dig out all the memories from our brain cells. But thoughts are flooding into my mind now as I remembered the movie he booked earlier on; Evan Almighty. It is the second time I am watching it and I was not prepared for that show as I left the booking of the tickets to him. However, I appreciated the show even more as it impressed even more on me...

1.Are you willing to sacrifice just to stay close to your faith? Evan Baxter has a promising job. But he is willing to sacrifice it for he knows he wants to save people from on the predicted flood. How much am I willing to sacrifice for the things I have faith in?

2.Even animals know how to stay by their partners even in times of danger. In the show, Evan's wife support him of all his decision even it seems so crazy. She understands him so well. Is mine able to understand the things I am undergoing and give me the supports if needed? Is mine able to stay with me like how the animals go in pairs?

3.Do you want to please people or do you want to please God? Evan risked his political position just to tell people about the coming flood. He said it even when he knows people were going to condemn him. Am I going to say things to please God or to please people around me for fear that they might think otherwise of me?

4.Even if you do not know God's plan, are you willing to follow? Evan only knew he has to build an ark but do not know what really will cause the flood. Even towards to the end, he remained firm in his stand which God gave a solution to all his problems arising in his life as a reward. I may not be sure of what the future has for me, but am I willing to face everything strongly without any doubt?

5.An random act of kindness. God told Evan that to change the world, he has to first learn how to love his family and strengthen their bonds. A person who loves and cares for mankind will definitely make a good partner. So where am I heading towards to then?

Seems alot but this time round, I guess is Evan's wife that touched me the most. She remained faithful to him and understands Evan so well. Even in times of dangers and difficulties, she stayed with Evan and did what he wanted to do. I guess it is love which struck me most this time round. The fact that his wife stays faithful and respects whatever her husband is doing and going through.
