The Growing of Fruit

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Galatians 5:16-18

Motive or action

I must admit that there are some fundamental in this world that I have doubts about. Or perhaps, doubts is an overstatement. As I look at some issues from another perspective, I began to see a different set of values that might live in coherent with the current practice. I have been wondering if motive or action matters more. Though both originated from the same source and should co-exhibit, I felt that motive is more important. I thought that it is easier to analyse an action of a person than to evaluate the motive of the person's heart.
