The Growing of Fruit

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Galatians 5:16-18

Once a First Aider, Forever a First Aider

To think of it, I was only eleven when I first was in contact with first aid. That was also when I joined the St. John's Ambulance Brigade. Days where I trained my cadets up for competitions and they winning, the prizes and trophies I received, the glory and respect I gained through the process and not forgetting the public first aid duties I went for are just nostalgia to me now. However, they will always stay as a priceless memory in my heart.

I remembered very clearly the Order of St John:

THE ORDER OF ST. JOHN is an ancient Christian brotherhood which, in its present form, is an Order of Chivalry, created by Royal Charter, with Her Majesty The Queen as its Sovereign Head. It is a hard-working, practical, volunteer organization with many thousands of unpaid workers in its two great Foundations - St. John Ambulance and the St. John Ophthalmic Hospital in Jerusalem. Its principal objects and purpose are the encouragement of all that makes for the spiritual and moral strengthening of mankind and of all work of humanity and charity for the relief of person in sickness, distress, suffering or danger, without distinction of race, class or creed. It's Mottoes are: 'Pro Fide' and 'Pro Ulitate Hominum' which translated into English means 'For The Faith' and 'For The service Of mankind'.

"For the Faith and Service Of the Mankind." I guess this has became my own motto over the years and is one of the greatest motivating force for me in what I am pursuing currently. The desire in me to do my part for the Mankind. Recent events even made me realised that although my first aid certificate has turned moldy, I can still vividly remember what was being imparted to me. I guess it is all in my blood. The skills that will accompany me faithfully for life. As I was telling someone the day before; "Once a first aider, forever a first aider. How true this phrase is. I really pray there will be a one day when I can fulfil my motto and love all mankind as how You really love them.
